Setting Up Your Macropoint Integration

Last updated: October 9, 2026

Overview

This setup sends your MacroPoint shipment locations to Vooma every 15 minutes, so Vooma Track always knows where your trucks are. It takes about 10 minutes and has three parts: add location columns, create a report rule, and set how often it sends.

Before you start

  • You are logged in to MacroPoint as an admin (needed for Rules Manager)

  • You have the Vooma subscriber email from your Vooma implementation team

  • Your Vooma account has been set up for Track

Setup steps

Part 1: Add latitude and longitude to Control Tower

This adds two columns to your dashboard. It won't change how you use MacroPoint day to day.

  1. In MacroPoint, open Control Tower (the view showing shipments that are moving, stopped or about to move).

  2. Click the gear icon next to the magnifying glass.

  3. Scroll to the Most Recent section.

  4. Select Latitude and Longitude.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Scroll the table right to confirm the two new columns appear.

Part 2: Create the Vooma report rule

  1. Go to Rules Manager and click Add Rule.

  2. Name the rule Vooma Report.

  3. Keep the query set to My Shipment Query (the existing one).

  4. Click Add Subscriber.

  5. In Subscriber ID / Email, paste the Vooma subscriber email. Leave any pre-filled text in place; Vooma uses it to match the data to your account.

  6. Under Assign Channels, select Attach CSV. Leave Show in Website Dashboard unchecked.

  7. Click Assign Subscriber.

Part 3: Set the send frequency to 15 minutes

If you don't see a frequency option on the rule, set it on the watch instead.

  1. Click Add Watch and choose Shipment Extracts.

  2. Set the frequency to 0.25 hours (every 15 minutes).

  3. Click Save Watch, then Save on the rule.

Confirm it's working

Nothing else is needed on your side. Vooma will spot-check incoming data within about an hour and confirm with you that locations are coming through.

Troubleshooting

What to do

Can't see Rules Manager

Ask a MacroPoint admin to complete Part 2, or to grant you admin access

Latitude/Longitude columns don't show

Scroll the Control Tower table right; if still missing, repeat Part 1 and make sure you clicked Save

No frequency option on the rule

Set it through Add Watch > Shipment Extracts (Part 3)
